They do not make good pets, but if you live in the woods and have an apple tree on your property they will come and eat the fallen apples everyday. Who says it is illegal who is this cad that is denying you the chance to show off your gorgeous happiness through the sheer joy of getting up in the morning to the smell of deer poo , they stink to high heaven. that is crazy....deers are soo cute and maybe its illegal cuz they don't want animal abuse....or for them to break out with more diseases...yea i want one 2...i have a whole family of deer that pretty much live in my backyard...but i'm worried because i haven't seen them in a while...i hope they are ok!
It depends on your definition of a 'pet', It's not illegal for you to keep one.

In Wisconsin, you can get a permit to keep deer. There's lots of people around here that have them.
yes you can also drive at the age of 17 in traffic with all our children.
