When deer hunting.....do you leave your feeder out all year long?

Im kind of new to the deer hunting seen (lets just say I had a crappy father) and im getting into it. I have a new deer feeder and I would like to know if I should keep the feeder out all year long or just during the hunting months of the season? When deer hunting.....do you leave your feeder out all year long?

In Texas it is customary to shoot deer off the feeder for many folks. In California, people used to get hassled for ';baiting deer'; if they used WD-40 as a masking scent to wash off the Hoppe's #9 from their gun. Check with local officials, where you will be hunting, as individual Game Warden interpretations of the same inkstains on paper can vary widely.
It would depend upon how much other food is available. We normal set ours out in about September or so to help attract deer. They have not started eating any corn that we are feeding because there are numerous corn fields around that have just been harvested. They visit the salt lick frequently but do not eat the corn. If you are in an area with limited food, it would probably be a good idea to feed them all year.
Yes, you can. You can even leave feed in it and buy a camera and take pictures of them eating. I do it ALL the time.
Yes i do. It keeps them coming back every year.
yes the more its out the better results youl get
