Yes, deer are herbivores. If you are unsure if an animal is a herbivore or not, check the eyes. Eyes on the sides of the head (like in deer, rabbits, mice, ect.) indicate that they are herbivores. Their eyes are on the sides so that they have better 360 degree vision to look out for predators. Likewise, if an animal has eyes in the front, like in humans, lions, dogs, etc., they are carnivores or omnivores (like us). Omnivores eat both meat and veggies.
