Can white tail deer see hunter orange clothing?

Deer are color blind. So if you wore orange camo, it would be no different than regular camo to a deer. Can white tail deer see hunter orange clothing?
Of course they can see it. It just doesn't look orange to them. According to studies deer see orange as white. Can white tail deer see hunter orange clothing?
Some say yes, some no. But, I've found that deer do see me more often in orange. I've gotten over a dozen, by using uv free soaps. That helps a lot.
no they can't, the Georgia dept of natural resources had an article in their annual hunting guide several years ago that said they are color blind. deer see patterns not color. it does put you at a disadvantage with the solid orange vest. you are required to wear 500 sq. inches in GA.so i get a larger vest and break up the solid orange with some material attached to break up the solid vest.
No,they see it as white, but can certainly see movement!
No they are color blind, however a printed camo pattern may break up the hunters outline more than a plain color but orange camo would be no different than drab olive camo. Every deer I've killed I wore blaze orange with no camo pattern.

A deer's defense senses in order of importance are 1) smell 2) hearing 3) sight. So if you get by all three you'll master hunting, get by the first two and you'll still have a good shot, screw up any two and kiss your buck good bye.
deer can not see it but they can smell and get run
Most any creature detects movement more than color, or a difference between the tree you are sitting in and the colour and pattern of your clothing. If you have camo of a tree, it matches the tree, and thus breaks up your human figure.
No they are colorblind... BUT they do see Ultra-violet colors. So when you wash your clothing use a UV FREE detergent, Not to mention a scent-killer formula... I always use Scent-Killer powder for my hunting clothes, And it is UV free..
Whitetailed deer are supposedly di-chromatic color blind, not having the ability to see anything in the ';red'; spectrum, so orange should appear green to a deer.
No...I think they're color blind. Either way their eyesight isn't good. From what I understand they can see shadows of dark and light.
No, it's for human eyes to see. Fluorescent Orange stands out in a green %26amp; brown woodland. That why is used for hunting and Road Construction safety vests and signs.
No, the dear can't pick up that colour of orange and wont pay much attention to it. However, their eyes are really sensitive to blue denim and can pick it out from a mile away.
No, supposedly they are color blind
The theory is that deer are color blind. They see movement and changes in the sceney/terrain. I was standing very still and 4-5 does walked right near me like I was just a tree. I was amazed. when I moved slightly they saw the movement and bolted.
Deer are color blind. But they can easily distinguish ';solid'; objects. Don't wear solid color clothing. Just put on something to break up your outline.
No.
I hope so, Bambi killer.
