How Hard Is Deer Stalking?

south east england and anywhere elseHow Hard Is Deer Stalking?
Super you made me laugh lol, but how rite you are with your answer.

What we have to remeber is how acute the sence of smell of a deer is, any hunting up wind of a deer or unfortunat to be doing it when the wind changes will instantley spook them, not a great thing if you have been stalking them for the last 6 hours.

As when hunting anything its all about field craft and using your suroundings as well as the whether to your advantage.

As for taking the shot, the distance will depend on how confident and compertant you are of a clean kill, on an estate you would have a keeper with you instructin you,els where perhaps not.

It all boils down to your own skills and judgment, remember you owe you respect to the deer and for a outrite clean kill. BANG and the job is done. Shot placement should alway be the hartHow Hard Is Deer Stalking?
It depends on how quietly you can walk and how wary the deer are. The best way to find out is to practice. Go out in the woods (NOT during deer season), and walk around. You will be amazed how much noise you make when the rest of the area is quiet. Listen to the sounds, like birds, and smaller animals scurrying around. Remember that deer have really good vision, especially for motion, and a great sense of smell. If you do spot a deer, it will probably be along the edge of a wooded area. They don't like to walk out into the open. So, you need to move along in the edges of the woods, too. Take a few steps, stop, look around (better if you have binoculars), and take a few more steps. The last time I was hunting, there was another guy walking through the same area, right down the middle of the clearing, and between his heavy breathing and all the gear rattling around in his backpack, he probably scared away every deer in the county. I heard him 100 yards away. Can you imagine how much better a deer with those great big ears and senses tuned to living in the woods heard him?
Deer management from a hide or high seat is less skillful. Moving after your quarry takes a lot of skill. Ensuring the deer can not pick up your air borne scent or spotting you. How p*ssed off would you be if you spent an hour on your belly getting into position for the shot for the deer to spot you and leg it.

Roll on 1st April.
Not hard when done correctly.*
easy wind in face sun at back move like a snail and eyes wide open ok it will come to you
it depends on how much cover and brush you got. And deer up north are more wary then southern deer.
