Where can you find a reasonably priced deer lease in south texas?

That depends on what you call a ';reasonably'; priced lease. South Texas leases are usually quite expensive. My best recommendation is to write to the Chamber of Commerce in several towns in south Texas where you would like to hunt and ask them for a list of ranches which are offering deer leases. Some of these lists include the cost for the lease and some do not. If it is not on the list, you will just have to contact some of the listed ranches to see what they charge. If a ranch offers guides, lodging, meals, etc. they are VERY pricy. By that I mean in excess of $2,000 plus a trophy fee of another $1,000 or $2,000 if you get a deer. The ranches where you supply your own sleeping arrangements, food, etc are usually the cheapest but even they are not cheap. If money is a concern, you might try something in the Llano area. Opening weekend (Saturday thru Monday) is going for around $300 at most ranches in the area and you supply your own food, camping gear, etc.
